Mohair 21 is one of the softest and finest mohair qualities you can find. The number 21 in the name of the yarn comes from the gauge of the mohair fibres, which are just 21 micron. If you want to learn more about the mohair fibres, check out our blog. For comparison, the usual fineness of mohair in the handknitting industry is 25-30 microns. The 21 micron is normally exclusively used in the luxury sector.
But now you can get this luxurious feeling on your needles.
We encourage you to combine several strands of the same colour, or mix shades as the mood takes you, to produce your own uniquely coloured yarn.
One skein has a metreage of nothing less than 375 meters, so even if the price is a little high, you get a lot of yarn and you won’t be needing many skeins to make a beautiful project.
